Jonathan Nackstrand, born in 1982.

He has been working as a photographer since 2008. He followed his father's footsteps and started his career in the Middle East covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Since 2010 he is based in Stockholm, working as a regular stringer for the International News Agency AFP covering news and sports events worldwide.

He has worked in many countries and covered numerous international sports events around the world, among them three Olympic Games, the FIFA World Cup, and three UEFA EURO.

In 2017 Jonathan was part of the photography team covering the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku, Azerbaijan.

He worked as an official photographer for the International Olympic Committee at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In 2021-2023 he was part of the official photography team covering the prestigious Wimbledon tennis tournament for The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club.

Jonathan's photographic work has been published all over the world in different media outlets.

He has been awarded for:

  • The 2012 NPPA Awards – Sports Feature: 2nd Place.

  • The 2019 Swedish Picture of the year (Årets Bild)- News Picture, Sweden: 1st place.

  • The 2021 Swedish Picture of the year (Årets Bild)- Sport Picture: Finalist.

  • The 2022 World Sports Photography Awards: Special Merit Awards in the category of Tennis for two images taken during Wimbledon 2021.

During his professional career, Jonathan has also photographed portraits, weddings, conferences, etc.
